Services Manager / IT Consultant
This position is responsible for managing the
activities of our Network Engineers/Consultants (see their
separate Job Description/Duties below) and for coordinating and
managing IT Service & Support activities with our clients.
The main duties and responsibilities include, but are not
limited to: working with our clients and our Network
Engineers/Consultants to track computer networking and IT
consulting work to be performed; coordinating regularly
scheduled weekly/monthly onsite visits and coordinating special
onsite visits for unscheduled work and for project work;
managing and coordinating projects; managing and monitoring
onsite work performed by our Network Engineers/Consultants, and
Quality Assurance testing; managing and monitoring HelpDesk
support calls/cases. When needed, the Services Manager
occasionally fulfills the duties of a Network
Engineer/Consultant.
The ideal candidate will have a professional manner, excellent
communication and customer service skills & experience, the
technical skills for the Network Engineer/Consultant position,
and 5+ years of hands-on experience with the implementation and
support of a variety of Microsoft networks for small and
mid-size businesses. Prior management experience is a strong
plus.
Training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server
2003 and 2000, Windows XP Professional and 2000 Professional
operating systems are required.
Training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server,
tape backup software, network-based antivirus solutions,
anti-spam software, firewall appliances and remote access (VPNs,
RRAS, OWA) is also required.
Specific experience with the following products is strongly desired:
Microsoft Small Business Server, Microsoft Terminal Services,
Symantec/Veritas Backup Exec, Symantec Antivirus Corporate
Edition, Symantec Mail Security for Exchange Server, GFI Mail
Essentials software, APC PowerChute and SonicWALL firewall
appliances is desired/helpful. Training or hands-on experience
with Microsoft SQL Server, Citrix or Virtual Machines is helpful.
MCSE2003 is the strongly preferred certification for this
position. Candidates with MCSE2000, MCSA2003 or MCSA2000
certification will be considered. We may consider an applicant with strong work
experience who has not yet passed all of their certification
exams, but that applicant must commit to earning the MCSA or MCSE certification within the first 3 months of employment.
Work for this position is typically performed in our newly
constructed Murrysville office. Onsite work at client offices in
the Greater Pittsburgh area is sometimes required.
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation and

Network Engineer / Consultant
This position is responsible for all aspects of assigned Microsoft networking
assignments for our clients, including: installing and configuring software on network servers and
workstations, providing training, and providing all aspects of
ongoing network administration and support -- from solving
problems, to making changes, to pro-active and preventative
maintenance, to strategic planning.
Training and hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003
and 2000, Windows XP
Professional and 2000 Professional operating systems is
required. Experience with Windows NT Server, Windows NT Workstation, Me, 95/98 is
helpful.
Training and hands-on experience with
Microsoft Exchange Server, tape backup software, network-based antivirus
solutions, anti-spam software, firewall appliances and remote access (VPNs,

is also required. Experience with Microsoft Small
Business Server (2000 and 2003) is strongly desired.

is a very strong plus, and training/teaching experience is helpful.
