Over time, products and services go through a natural lifecycle and eventually reach their end of life. SonicWall has announced the TZ100, TZ210 and NSA240 series firewall security appliances have reached their End of Support (EOS) date. These appliances were first released more than 4 years ago, and have done a great job of providing secure internet access, web browsing and remote access for our clients and their networks. But the Sonicwall tz 100, 210 and 240 are reaching their end of line in favor of the newer next generation models of the firewall security appliances – which offer improvements in speed, performance, high availability, and other security-related features.

End of Support is the final phase in a product’s lifecycle. Once a product reaches End of Support (EOS), it is no longer eligible to receive technical support, software or firmware updates, or hardware replacement (RMA) from SonicWall. Additionally the product will no longer receive security updates for anti-virus, anti-spyware, or intrusion prevention protection.

Sonicwall NSA 240 end of life and end of support date occurs on April 29, 2017. Sonicwall TZ 210 end of life and end of support date occurs on May 30, 2017. Sonicwall TZ 100 end of life and end of support date occurs on November 15, 2017. The full SonicWall Product LifeCycle Table is available here.

Via the Secure Upgrade Program, SonicWall is providing an upgrade path for those businesses using the older generation firewall security appliances. Businesses can take advantage of big savings when purchasing a successor next-generation appliance (saving on the appliance itself, and 2 or 3 year support and service subscriptions). Plus outstanding support and security subscriptions can be transferred to the successor appliance.

SonicWall provides the most secure Unified Threat Management (UTM) firewall and security appliances for small and mid-sizes businesses. Unlike consumer-grade products, the TZ and NSA Series appliances deliver the most effective intrusion prevention, anti-malware, content filtering, remote access and application control capabilities.
